Horton Hears a Who!
Directed by: Jimmy Hayward and Steve Martino

Production Company: Blue Sky Studios, Twentieth Century Fox Animation, and Twentieth Century Fox Corporation

Horton Hears a Who! was released on March 14, 2008. The movie was based off of Dr Seuss' book 'Horton Hears a Who!'. This movie was the third Dr. Seuss feature film adaptation. The movie tells a story about how Horton hears a speck and finds out that there are people called Whos living in a city called Whoville on it. Horton makes it his mission to help them get to a safe place.
The Ordinary World
The Call to Adventure
Horton was teaching his class when he hears a scream coming from a speck. He chases it until he has it on a clover. He later gets into contact with the mayor of Whoville on the speck. The mayor tells Horton that in order to be safe, they need to be somewhere, where they don't move. Horton makes it his misson to help the people of Whoville get to a safe place.
Refusal of the Call
In the Jungle of Nool, no one believes Horton that there are actual people living on the speck. Especially Jane Kangaroo. She believes that if you can't hear it then it doesn't exist. Horton still does not refuse the call because he wants to make sure the the people of Nool get somewhere safe and doesn't want to let the Whos down.
Although Morton didn't believe Horton at first about the speck, he still helped Horton on his adventure by giving him advice or told him when danger was coming.
Crossing the first Threshold
Horton decides that the Mountain of Nool is the best place to take the speck for safety. As Horton's first obstacle, he must cross the unstable bridge that connects the jungle to the otherside of the jungle with the mountain on it.
Tests, Allies, Enemies
As Horton continues his journey, Jane Kangaroo wants to stop Horton from keeping on with his adventure. She teams up with Vlad Vladikoff in order to stop him.
When Vlad Vladikoff takes the clover from Horton and throws it into the field of clovers, Horton is stuck trying to find it. He finds it incredibly hard especially since all the clovers are the same color. Horton searches and searches and finally finds it. The city of Whoville are badly shaken but everyone is okay.
The Ordeal
Meeting with the Mentor
Horton's major reward is the knowledge of knowing that everyone is going to be okay in Whoville and getting everyone to believe him about the speck in the end.
The Road Back
The road back to Nool isn't really said. His journey back wasn't as dangerous as his actual adventure.
Horton is captured by Jane Kangaroo and the rest of the animals from Nool. Jane takes the speck from Horton and threatens to put it into boiling oil. Horton is in a cage and can't do anything about it except hope that the people of Whoville will come together and make as much noise as possible. As a result, the Whos really do come together and make alot of noise and Jane and the rest of Nool can hear Whoville.
Return with Elixir
Now that Horton has proved everyone wrong and has set the speck on Mount Nool, he goes home safely. Although the animals of Nool did not believe Horton at first and tried to stop him, Horton is not mad at any of them. He explains that "A person's a person, no matter how small." Everyone is now living worry free and Horton can go see the speck and talk to the people of Whoville whenever he wants.
