Slope Intercept Form
Practice Problem#3
If we gave you the equation y=1/2+1 how would that look on a graph? And how would you graph it?
Practice Problem #2
if we give you the coordinates (8,2) and the slope is 3 than how do you solve for the y intercept?

first; you know that the y coordinate is 2 and the x is 8

so you would then plug in the formula

2=3(8)+B......... do 3*8=24,then 2-24
when you plug it all in you should get y=3x-22
Practice Equation
If the slope is 5 and the Y intercept is 8 what would the equation be?

answer: Y=5x+8

We figured out this equation by plugging the numbers in the formula

To find the slope Intercept Form you use this equation.........

B=y intercept
By: Cecilia Bibbo and Brittany Thompson
what is the slope intercept form of this graph?
To graph this equation you would put a dot on the positive 1 on the y axis (representing your y intercept) then you would go up 1 and over 2 spaces for your slope.
what is the slope intercept form of this graph?
