Northern Koalas have grayish whitish fur and the Southern Koalas have brownish and longer fur then the northern koala
Koalas are mammals.
They can weigh up to 20 pounds and 30 pounds.
Its length can be 3ft long
Special paws to grip the tree
The average of a females life span is about 12 years.
They smell like cough drops from the eucalyptus leaves.
Koalas only eat one kind of plant it is called Eucalyptus leaves.
Koalas have special teeth to break down the poison in the plant.
The koala is a very picky eater.
It is a herbivore
One behavior of a koala is that they rarely drink water because they get all the water they need from the eucalyptus leaves
They also have some very unique behaviors too like how they have no nerves in their lower body and that they have night vision to see at night.
They are nocturnal animals which means they are asleep all day and active during the night.

Koalas sleep up to 18 hours a day and they only get up to eat.
They are born with a sense of incredible awesome smell and they never loose it. Adults can figure out how many koalas are in the area just by their smell.
