Quote
Most of the issues with the book is that the main character tries to commit suicide, but it also was censored because of the reason his parents got a divorce with the age limit set for the book. It was banned from most elementary schools because of theses reasons.
Censorship of the book
Many writers are inspired by what is going on in the world around them while Paulsen wrote about things going on in his personal life. The divorce of Paulsen's parents made his life unhappy.
Inspired by a true story
