We needed to decide on a final design. To do so we evaluated the pros and cons of choosing a stationary devises versus an arm device.
Basis of Comparison...
Arthritis causes the loss of movement in the joints.
Our task is to create a device that enables people with Arthritis to open their pill bottles.
Our device has to dispense medicine.
The loss of movement in one hand will not be an impediment for our clients to have access to their medicine.
Lack of time, materials, and technology were all constraints in this project.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common type of arthritis.
OA is the degeneration of cartilage in the joints, it causes stiffness and pain.
OA affects about 27 million People in America.
Causes 9,367 deaths each year in the USA alone.
