VELOCIRAPTOR
Velociraptor roamed the Earth about 85.8 million to 70.6 million years ago during the end of the Cretaceous Period.
The Velociraptors name means "swift thief"
The Velociraptor was a mid sized dinosaur measuring about 2.6 meters long as an adult. It weighed around 15 kilograms or 33 pounds. Thier jaws were lined with 26-28 widely spaced teeth on each side of their mouth.
It is believed that Velociraptor fed mostly on small animals, such as reptiles, amphibians and other smaller slower dinosaurs.
Velociraptor lived in Asia. Fossils have been found in Russia, China and Mongolia.
The fossils where found in Asia except for a couple found in Russia.
Some people believe that the Velociraptor had feathers!
The first known Velociraptor fossil was found in the Mongolian Gobi Desert in 1922.
