Rock Cycle Poem
-Sedimentary rocks are formed when earth materials are weathered and put together
-Erosion is the process of eroding or being eroded by wind, water, or other natural substances
-Deposition is the process in which transported sediment is laid down
-Intrusive Igneous Rock is when the rock forms as magma cools below earth’s surface
-Metamorphic Rock is formed when heat or pressure causes existing rock to change in structure, texture, or mineral composition
-Extrusive Igneous Rock is when rock forms above earth’s surface as lava cools
-Nonfoliated rocks have their mineral grains arranged randomly
-Together we all learn about the rock cycle
-As long as this make sense, you will get an A on the test
-Rock cycle is the best, this poem will prepare you for the test
-You understand this?

-Igneous rocks are classified by their origin
-Genious is my name
-Now lets get to the facts
-Earth is where this rock can form from
-Originally formed at great depths that can reach earths surface overtime
-Understand that Igneous rocks form when molten rock cools and becomes solid
-Solid, something that a rock like this one has a process to get to

-Made from sedimentary or igneous
-Example would be marble
-This happens deep beneath Earths surface
-A type of changer occurs when presure causes a rocks minerals to flatten out in one direction
-Many of these rocks were once sedimentary rocks
-Other changes can occur in a rocks minerals, but the rock remains solid
-Rocks like this are useful for tile
-People do not create rocks
-Heat and pressure cause a rock to change to metamorphic.
-I know that this process will happen over and over again.
-Classified by the arrangement of the grains that make up the rocks
