Reality vs. Illusion What is reality? Social Networks According to the website, "Dictionary.com, reality means real things, facts, or events taken as a whole. My Opinion The Great Gatsby Reality vs. Illusion Video The Great Gatsby What is illusion? According to the website, "Dictionary.com, illusion means something that deceives by producing a false or misleading impression of reality. I think that reality vs. illusion can be shown in many ways. Not only in books or movies but in our daily lives. For example, when you meet someone you may think of a person as a sweet and caring person but the reality could be that they are mean and unkind. In this book, a theme found was illusion vs. reality. Gatsby showed illusion vs. reality. For example, Gatsby told everyone that he got rich from his parents (illusion). The reality was that Gatsby did this just to impress Daisy but he did was a bootlegger which we found out towards the middle of the novel. Jada Ann Wagner-Mason
