"Jessica is the kind of recruiter I consider
good competition
- she knows her institution,
connects
with students, and
engages
school administrators to
build advocacy
and interest in her company's brand, all while maintaining a cool composure and accessible demeanor. Every time I see her in her role, whether seeing 20 students at a school visit or 2,000 at a major career fair, she is
working to build her company's brand
and has never seemed to flinch under pressure, even when issues arise."
-Phil Ollenburg

University of Regina
"Jessica was a member of my board at Assiniboine Community College. As a student advocate she was dedicated,
determined
and
influential
. She has the
enthusiasm
and energy of youth but the
sophistication
and
poise
of a much older soul."
-Mark Frison

commitment
to bettering the lives of her peers as demonstrated by her service as Students' Association President. She was an
incredible activist

excellent technical skills

Student Success
2011
2012 - Present
I attract prospective students to ACC by travelling across Manitoba and Saskatchewan promoting the programs and services the college offers. I’ve helped
build the reputation
of ACC in many communities and constantly find new ways to reach out to target markets.
I
take matters into my own hands
, for example I started a Counsellor Newsletter even when advised not to. I create recruitment strategies,
communication plans
and
operational plans
. I help future students choose a career path and advise them on admission requirements and enrollment procedures. It’s essential that I
think ahead
, be personable and
read people
and situations ‘like a book.’
Working in the Communications & Marketing department has prepared me to take action on projects and
develop materials
and tools that will stand out from the competition.
2011 - 2012
I
collaborated
with other team members on marketing strategies for the Hotel, Bistro 40 and The 40. I
created an online presence
for The 40 by starting a Facebook Page and Twitter account. I trained personnel on how to use both social media tools. My efforts have resulted in the company now having
471
Twitter followers,
729
Facebook likes and
1,184
Facebook check-ins.
May - July 2011
2009 - 2011
My experience and interpersonal skills are proof that I have the capacity to do this job and be
awesome
at it.
But don't take my word for it.
See what others are saying...
