The Sun-Earth-Moon System Earth Sun Moon Revolves and Rotates-What's the difference? Revolutions: the circling motion of an object Rotation: the spinning motion of an object Revolves around the sun every 365 days Completes one full rotation every 24 hours Revolves around Earth about every 28 days Also rotates on it's axis about every 28 days so we always see the same side of the moon! Rotates in about a month,
but hard to tell because it's gas A star, gives us heat and energy
