The 3 R's Reduce Reuse Recycle Do your part
to care for
the environment!
Reduce, reuse, and recycle
your waste! What is waste? Waste is anything
you throw out and
don't reuse. Most waste ends up in landfills. Some waste is BIODEGRADABLE.
That means it breaks down in our
environment naturally. A lot of waste is not biodegradable.
When waste doesn't break down,
what problems could be caused by this?
Discuss with your face partner. There's a lot we
Can do to help
our environment! cut down or make something smaller
(use less stuff and only what we need!) Talk with your shoulder partner
about other ways we can
REDUCE waste. use something again
and again use materials from old
items to make new items It's important to take care of our planet. It's our home and it's the only one we have! COnservation taking care of the environment Composts are places you
can put leaves, plant
materials, and other
biodegradable items to recycle
them. Then, the compost can be
used in your garden to help
your plants grow. Talk with your face partner
about other ways we can
REUSE waste. With your shoulder partner,
list all of the items in this room that can be recycled.
