• Indonesia and Malaysia have also eaten fresh seaweeds, especially as salad components.
• Seaweed is used in many parts of the world such as sushi dish.
• Several centuries has been a use of seaweeds as traditional foods.
Seaweed uses in cosmetics product.
• Seaweed is used in cosmetic products such as creams and body lotions.
• Treatment using seaweed paste can also provide relief for rheumatism and osteoporosis.
• Seaweeds used when it shows the label of cosmetic products containing " marine extract “, " algae extract ," and " seaweed extract " .
INTRODUCTION
Seaweed is a macroscopic, multicellular and benthic marine algae.
Seaweeds can be classified into three broad groups based on pigmentation which is brown, red and green.
There are three commercial uses of seaweed in the world which is uses as human foods, uses in cosmetic products and uses as fertilizers.
Seaweed uses as fertilizers.
The early use of seaweed as a fertilizer is from coastal residents gather seaweed.
• Seaweed fertilizer can be used directly or can be watered around the roots of plants.
• The use of seaweed as a fertilizer is very effective in the cultivation of vegetables and fruits.
There are three commercial uses of seaweed in the world such as seaweed uses as human foods, seaweed uses in cosmetic products and seaweed uses as fertilizers.
