What were The Jim Crow Laws?
Jim Crow laws took place in America and they were laws that segregated the whites from anyone else. They were a racial caste system that treated you based on the color of your skin.

The schools for white children and the schools for black children shall be conducted separately .
White and black passengers have separate waiting rooms along with different ticket booths.
No black shall serve as a barber to white people.
Whites and blacks had separate seats by any motor transportation company.
Blacks and whites were not suppose to eat together. If they did, the whites were served first.

Black people were only allowed to live in certain parts of a town.

White and black prisoners have separate jails to live, eat, and sleep in. ~Mississippi
Every person operating any public hall, theater, opera house, motion picture show or any place of public entertainment which is attended by both white and colored persons shall separate the white and colored race and shall set apart and designate certain seats for the black race. ~Virginia
No person or corporation shall require any white female nurse to nurse in rooms in hospitals, either public or private, in which black people are placed. ~Alabama
Entrances and exits for whites and blacks shall remain separate. ~Mississippi
