Chunky Move was founded in 1995 by Gideon Obarzanek, the company has an enviable reputation for producing a distinct yet unpredictable brand of genre - defying dance performance.

Mortal engine - which i was fortunate enough to see live, is a dance-video-music-laser performance which focuses on movement of unformed beings in an unfamiliar landscape.

The show uses infrared cameras set up in various places to capture the body's movement, mixed with lighting and sounds to create staining shadows which is the core behind my analysis. As just seen, there are various moments where you can clearly see that the body movements are creating shapes, the media/lighting emphasizes this to its extreme.
