This is your total presence time when you
work as a teacher performing tasks related
to your job in your school or at another
location given to you by the school board or
your administration.

This equates to 2304 minutes per 6-day cycle
and 3456 minutes per 9-day cycle.

ASSIGNED presence time is time during the
teacher schedule when the administration
can tell you what duties related to your job
they would like you to perform. This includes
your teaching time, supervision, remediation,
as well as other tasks such as meetings,
course and lesson preparations, correcting,
etc.

These 27 hours should be assigned to
you in your schedule by your administration.

This is your ASSIGNED presence time when you
work as a teacher performing tasks related
to your job in your school or at another

The teacher's workload shall consist of services to which he or she is assigned by the board or the school principal and which he or she provides directly to students. The workload includes the presentation of courses and lessons, developmental and cognitive learning activities, student activities, support, remediation, homeroom and supervision, with the exception of the supervision of the arrival and dismissal of students and the passing time of students at recess and between periods.

8-2.00 GENERAL DUTIES
8-2.01
The teacher shall provide learning and developmental activities to students and shall participate in the development of student life in the school.
In this context, the teacher's characteristic responsibilities are:
a) to prepare and present courses and provide developmental and cognitive learning activities within the guidelines of the authorized programs;
b) to work together with the other teachers and the personnel of the school in order to take the appropriate measures to meet the individual needs of students;
c) to organize and supervise student activities;
d) to organize and supervise workplace internships;
e) to be responsible for providing support (encadrement);
f) to be responsible for providing remediation;
g) to supervise the students for whom he or she is responsible as well as other students in his or her presence;
h) to evaluate the performance and progress of students for whom he or she is responsible and to report on them to the school administration and to parents according to the system in effect;
i) to monitor the late arrivals and absences of his or her students and to report them to the school administration according to the system in effect;
j) to participate in meetings relating to his or her work;
k) to perform other duties usually assigned to teaching personnel.
