Second World War
the Philippines were adapting to the american colonial style when the second world war broke out.
Presenting Peace Proposal
Goal
Objective
After the Attack
after 10 hours of the attack of pearl harbor, the japanese bomber under the command of Gen. Masaharu Homma attack various places in the Philippines.

the Japanese assault cut out the lines of communication of the Americans to the Pacific
Amiral K. Nomura were presenting Peace Proposal's to the American Officials.
The Japanese bombed the pearl harbor at dec 7, 1941 that resulted into 2,879 deaths
Japanese wants to acquire Dutch and British Professions in The Southeast Asia
Japanese navy and air force bombed the U.S pacific fleet in order to achieved the goal
The fight
Capt. Jesus Villamor of the air corps, led a flight of pursuit planes against japanese.
on Dec 15 all remaining fortresses were withdrawn at the fort darwin in australia for repair service
The landing of gen. Homma's main force, that decides Gen. Mcarthur to use the war plan orange, this was the master plan that renamed into Rainbow 5.
Delaying of the action was to be enforced against the enemy forces in bataan until the arrival of the U.S. Reinforcements.

Gen. Mcarthur advised president. Quezon and his group to evacuate the corregidor island, Manila on dec 24 1941 on boarding S.S. Mayon.

On dec 26, gen. Mcarthur declared the manila open city and on dec 30 1941,

In the midst of enemy attacks, president Roosevelt urged pres. Quezon to flee to the united states since the japanese could inevitably use him as the leader to rally Filipinos behind japan.
Pres. Quezon and his family left corregidor for autralia on February 18 on board submarine swordfish. From autralia on board another submarine ss pres. Coolidge, quezon sailed for san francisco, california on april 20, 1942.
Gen. Mcarthur left corregidor for autralia on the night of the march 11, 1942 on the order of president Roosevelt, he was designated to command SWPA and the USAFIP was under the command of jonathan wainwright.
As the battle in bataan went on, more civilians were arriving in hagonoy, bulacan. The some POW(prisoner of war) were able to escape the death march.
The exodus to hagonoy resulted to an increase of population from 25,000 to 90,000.
The religious of virgin mary based on hagonoy proved to be helpful in providing for the needs of the people
