(cc) image by nuonsolarteam on Flickr Mesopotamia was the first civilization Mesopotamia means the land between the rivers Because it is between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. on a map, first find the Red sea it looks like a peace hand to the left of the Red sea then, find the persian gulf Mesopotamia is right between it red sea (the green is the fertile cresent) sail boats frying pans razors make-up kilns hammers the wheel and even the first superhero! Gilgamesh Gilgamesh was the first superhero- EVER Gilgamesh was the king of Uruk. He was a powerful king. He was two-thirds god! But Gilgamesh was bored He had defeatd all the monsters. So he prayed to the gods for fun! The gods heard his prayer. They created Enkidu. Enkidu was faster and stronger than Gilgamesh. They became the best of friends. Since there was nothing else to do in town they left hand in hand The four classes
in Mesopotamia Priests: Upper class: Lower class: Slaves: Priests were powerful. They were doctors, if you were sick, you would call for a priest. The priests shaved their heads. Men and woman wore jewerly. Men wore skirts and had long hair, curly mustaches and long beards. woman wore dresses, off one shoulder The lower class comfortable was but not rich Slaves were the lowest ranking class.
