Private Peaceful Book Review
The Book
The Book we have studied is 'Private Peaceful' by Micheal Morpurgo. This book deals with the topic of war and the relationship between two brothers, Tommo and Charlie Peaceful.
The Characters.
The main characters in this novel are Tommo and Charlie Peaceful. Some other main characters are Molly, who both brothers fall in love with. Big Joe, Tommo and Charlie's older brother. Their Mother and the colonel, who both brothers dislike.
Private Peaceful
My Favourite Character.
My favourite character through the book was Charlie Peaceful. Charlie is brave, proud of his family, caring, protective and a father figure to his younger brother, Tommo. Charlie does the right thing when he sticks up for his brother on his first day of school.
What Is The Novel About?
The novel is set in England during the time of world war I. The book is about the story of two brothers, Charlie and Tommo, growing up without a father. They both fall in love with the same girl, Molly. Soon, they leave for war.
Opinions on the Novel.
I thought the book was very interesting. I like it because it gave the story of two close brothers growing up. Towards the end of the novel, it got alot more sad and complicated. I enjoyed it because it was very unpredictable and there was alot of unexpected plot twists.
