Happens between December 31th and January 1st; it's the time when the Gregorian Calendar ends, it is celebrated with fireworks at the stroke of midnight as the new year starts in each time zone.
Is one of the most prominent celebrations in the country and it is a tradition to go to New York to celebrate New Year with the "ball drop" in Times Square, Manhattan.
It is also common for North American's to spend New Year's Eve at Disney's Downtown Florida, with fireworks at the stroke of midnight.
The tradition starts, eating with family, wearing new cloth, and red underwear. The most important celebration in Spain is in Madrid, where the family gather and eat 12 grapes one for each wish they want, one with each chime from the clock of Puerta del Sol.
Most russians celebrate New Year with family and friends, the traditions says that 2 hours before midnight they should start remembering all the good things they did on the last 12 months.
It is a tradition to burn dolls in La Plata, eating traditional dishes with the family , and just before midnight, people flock to the streets to enjoy fireworks and light firecrackers. The celebration is during summer and is common to celebrate it at the beach

Each year, the celebrations in Sydney are accompanied by a theme with two pyrotechnic shows at the harbor.
In China, although the celebrations of the Lunar New Year are not until a few weeks after the Gregorian New Year, celebrations of the Gregorian New Year are held in some areas, particularly in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Xiamen.
