Transcript of Baseball Stretches and Workouts

This is a video that shows you how to do some of the stretches for baseball. Baseball Stretches and Workouts Stretches Find a place where you have a wall and about 10 feet of ceiling height. Hold the medicine ball in both hands in front of your chest and throw it straight from there. At the same time, squat down and jump off the ground. Jump up in the air and push the ball up as high as you can against the wall. Get the ball back as fast as you can and continue the drill for 30 seconds. See how many you can complete. Grab the medicine ball with your hands underneath. Squat down so that your thighs come even with the ground (the ball is held with your arms dangling in front of your body. When you squat down, they almost touch the ground). Leap up off the ground, and at the same time, thrust the ball up in the air (watch that you don't get hit by the ball as it comes down!). Do as many as you can in 30 seconds This is some practice that you can do to be better. Stand on a side of your house where there aren't any windows or objects can break. Throw a rubber baseball on the roof of your house (make sure its slanted enough that the ball rolls back down.) Once it rolls down find the ball and catch it. If there isn't a place where you can do this at find an open area and throw a baseball up as high as you can and catch it. Another Medicen Ball Workout Medicine Ball Workout Lying Knee Roll-over Stretch: While lying on your back, bend your knees and let them fall to one side. Keep your arms out to the side and let your back and hips rotate with your knees. Rotating Wrist Stretch: Place one arm straight out in front and parallel to the ground. Rotate your wrist down and outwards and then use your other hand to further rotate your hand upwards. Elbow-out Rotator Stretch: Stand with your hand behind the middle of your back and your elbow pointing out. Reach over with your other hand and gently pull your elbow forward. Another great practice is just play catch wth a family member or friend. I hope you enjoyed my prezi. Thanks for watching.
