Transcript of PAXgene Blood RNA System

PAXgene PreAnalytiX Blood RNA System Who are they? Our goal is to develop, manufacture, and market integrated systems for the collection, stabilization, and purification of nucleic acids for molecular diagnostic testing. Why is that important? Standardization, Efficiency, & Consistency! RNA Testing Can be used for various tests HIV Hepatitis C Gene abnormalities RNA-FISH Extremely difficult to collect Cell degradation Induced Expression Transcripts IL1B and c-FOS Blood Collection Stabilization Can be stored... 3 days at 18 to 25 degrees Celsius 5 days at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius Archived at -20 to -70 degrees Celsius PAXgene Blood RNA Tube Consistent Blood Volumes Immediate sample protection Tube is prefilled with stabilizing reagent to immediately protect sample from degradation and induced expression Designed with vacuum to ensure 2.5mL of blood is collected On going studies show stabilization for as long as 50 months! Purification PreAnalytiX proven separation and purification process Can be performed manually or through an atomated system Uses a series of buffers and reagents Is this necessary? Traditional method vs. PAXgene Each method was performed and the C was measured T Traditional method using Chaotropic agent Method using PAXgene Blood RNA System Consistency Reproducable results were able to be obtained by multiple technicians Gives an "in vivo" snapshot in and "in vitro" environment! Thank you! Any questions?
