Should violent video games be banned?
By: Parween Arbeen Against violent video games being banned Economy Self-Esteem Encourage teamwork Reducing pain Video games should not be banned because they have reached sales of $20 billion, if they are banned the economy will FALL . They bring many benefits such as: increase of self-esteem, reducing pain, encourage teamwork, beneficial to the economy and banning them will just cause more problems. Violent video games encourage self-esteem, when a kid beats a video game they feel that they have accomplished a goal. That makes them feel good about themselves, which increases their self-esteem. Violent video games reduce pain. When someone is having a bad day they can take there anger out virtually, instead of knocking someone out with an angry punch. Also no one will get hurt! :) Violent video games encourage teamwork. When kids play multi-player, they have to work as a team. By working as a team, kids learn to help each other when they are in need. Beating a video game can be a very difficult task that requires a lot of concentration, practice and skill, some people can't do that without other people's help. Video games are almost 40% of are economy, and if they are banned then the economy will dramatically fall.America's economy will plummet off the edge of the world.
