What does globalization mean?
The act of globalizing, or extending to other or all parts of the world: the globalization of manufacturing
Cons of Globalization
The general complaint about globalization that it has made the rich richer and the poor poorer;good for managers and investors, bad for workers and nature.
Multinational corporations are accused of social injustice, unfair working conditions, slave labor wages and poor living and working conditions.
Lack of concern for the environment
Mismanagement of natural resources
Ecological damage
Globalization has led to exploitation of labor. Prisoners and child workers are used to working in inhumane conditions
Pros of Globalization
There is a worldwide market for companies and for the customers there is a better access to products from different countries.
There's a steady cash flow into developing countries, which gradually decreases the dollar different.
Socially we have become more open and tolerant towards each other and these who live in the other parts of the world appear more approachable than before.
Globalization helps increase of demand of products. this in a turn increase rate of production,
What are the Economic benefits?
Globalization has rapidly improved the social and economic status of women in the developing world.
societies that embrace education for women enjoy dramatic social progress.
Globalization has contributed to reduce global poverty and to increase welfare of both the developed and developing countries.
Concerns/Challenges with Globalization?
is to ensure that the benefit of globalization extend to all countries
fear that globalization leads to instability
very real fear in the industrial world that increased global competition will lead inexorably to a race to the bottom in wages.

Impact of Globalization on human rights
Impact on human rights would be the rights to live, rights to fair working wage and rights to health care and finally rights to clean water
Because of the discontents of globalization, people in the third world countries are living off ab dollar a day.
Because of the globalization, the U.S consumes 25% of the worlds resources
Some believe that globalization is the international spread of capitalism
Also because of globalization, America is consuming most of the earth's wealth at the extent and the suffering of other countries. So we are consuming unfair traded coffee and increasing the number of sweat shops.
Examples of companies that are unfair and are sweat shops are Nike co and dunkin doughnuts and Starbucks
Impact of Globalization on the Environment
Globalization accelerates structural change, thereby altering the industrial structure of countries
Globalization diffuses capital and technology, depending on their environmental characteristics
Globalization transmits and magnifies market failures
Cultures affected?
it introduces countries to other countries culture and allows us to purchase goods made in a different country
Learn differnet languages because you're communicating with other countries
How is the Globalization redefining the U.S?
Globalization is redefining the U.S by the integration of different societies, economies and cultures.
