In the 80s the fashion was rapidly changing. There was lots of new styles.

In the 80s some food that they ate were jell0-o pudding pops,sloppy joes,sushi,cajun,tri-color pasta,jaw breakers, californa raisins,artificially flavored fruit snacks, and tab soda and some of the restaurants are Howard Johnsons and Mister donut.

were attracting many gamers.Movies such as

brought many people to the movies.Molly Ringwald and Jamie Lee Curtis were 2 of the most talked about movie stars during the 80s.

A very popular thing in the 80s was the Sony walkman.It was a radio that they carried around like a mp3 player.During this time women were beginning to spread from the ''house wife'' image to the ''working mother'' image.In school they used wooden pencils and unlike us they didn't have mechanical pencil sharpeners and they had to bring their lunches in a metal lunch box.Some of the slang words they used were airhead,bad to the bone,cheesy/cheezy,chill,couch potato,gal pal,have a cow,gnarly,road pizza,totally,like totally,and wicked.

Inventions were being introduced very quickly during the 80s. Some of the most famous are the WorldWideWeb(WWW), Apple Macintosh, and Nintendo entertainment games. The WWW was introduced by Tim Berners-Lee in 1989.It let you sit at home in front of a computer instead of going to a library to find your information.The Apple Macintosh, or Mac, is a series of personal computers manufactured by Apple Inc.The 1st Mac was introduced on Jan. 24,1984 by Steve Jobs.It was the 1st successful personal computer to feature the mouse and graphical user interface. The video game industry crashed in 1983.Fortunately the Nintendo Entertainment System let gamers enjoy video games again. It sold over 2.5 million units in its 1st year.
