13 Colonies
The thirteen colonies were divided into the New England, Middle colonies and the southern colonies. Each section has four except for the southern which had five colonies. the new England colonies had Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut. The southern colonies had Virginia, North and South Carolina, Maryland and Georgia. The middle colonies had New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Massachusetts
Massachusetts is one of the New England Colonies. It was founded by John Winthrop in 1630 for religious freedom for the Puritans. It has mild short summers and long cold winters. It has jagged coasts, hills, and mountains with trees and rivers with poor rocky soil. It was governed as a royal province. The main industries are agriculture and manufacturing. People made a living of fishing, whaling, shipbuilding, and farming corn, pumpkins, rye, squash, and beans. There was only the Puritan religion and no other religion was tolerated. The children were taught in their religion and the boys were taught in school subjects. Girls were only taught to read.
Connecticut
Connecticut is in the New England colony and was founded by Thomas Hooker in 1636 for political and religion reasons.It had mild summers and cold winters and narrow lowlands and hilly eastern uplands.The main industry was fishing and agriculture. The main religion was puritans and they tolerated no other religion. Connecticut colony was governed as a charter colony. he children in Connecticut had to attend grammar schools so that they could read and then read the bible.
Rhode Island
Rhode Island was founded in 1636 by Roger Williams because he was banished by the Massachusetts colony. It is one of the New England colonies. The main industry was agriculture. they also fished and had lumbering industries. This colony had lowlands and rolling hills and it had a cold climate. The main religion was puritans. Parents made their children go to school in the New England colonies. the children went to grammer schools. The government in Rhode island was a Charter colony. the charter colonies were the people and the king had agree to make big decisions.
New York
The New York colony is a Middle Colony. It was founded by Peter Minuet in 1626 for trade and profits. It has a mild climate with warm summers and mild winters. There are mountains in the Northeast, and lowlands from Lake Ontario along the canadian border. It is a mix of the New England Colonies and the Southern Colonies. It was governed as a Royal Colony. The main industry was farming. This is one of the Bread Basket Colonies. It did not have a specific religion, they had freedom of religion. The children were taught in their religion and boys went to college.
New Hampshire
The New Hampshire colony is a New England Colony. It was founded by John Mason in 1638 because he was given a land grant. It has mild and short summers with long winters. It has a low coast, hills, mountains and plateaus. It had poor rocky soil. It was governed as a royal company. The main industries were agriculture and manufacturing. The people made a living fishing, whaling, shipbuilding, and farming corn, pumpkins, rye, squash, and beans. There was only the Puritan religion. They were taught in their religion and the boys were given a school education. The girls were only taught to read.

It had a mild climate with warm summers and mild winters. Mountains, coastal plain and plateau areas to Lake Erie lowlands. It was governed as a Proprietary Colony. The main industry was farming. It is one of the Bread Basket Colonies. There was no main religion, there was freedom of religion. The children were taught in their religion and the boys went to college.
The Virginia Colony is one of the Southern Colonies. It was founded by John Smith in 1607 for trade and profits. It has hot and humid summers with survivable winters. It was governed as a Royal Colony. The main industries were farming and ironworks. Much of the work however was done by slaves. There was religious freedom in this colony. They were taught at home by their parents of a private tutor. Once again the girls didn't go to school but the boys did.
Georgia was a southern colony founded in 1732 by James Oglethrope to put a barrier from the spanish so they they couldn't move. the main industry was agriculture because the had huge plots of land. The climate was warm and the land had coastal plains and they had plenty forests. They didn't have a main religion just a variety. Children's school, revolved around the farming season because they needed help on the farms a lot. Georgia was governed as a royal colony.

Maryland was founded by Lord Baltimore and George Calvert in 1633 for land.The main industries were manufacturing and agriculture. it was in the southern regions so it was warm all year long and like most of the states, it had coastal plains and plateaus and other things. Like most of the other southern colonies, there was no main religion but had a variety of religions. It was governed as a proprietary colony were someone had full governing rights governed over the people. The children's school revolved around the farming season.

South Carolina is a southern colony and was founded in 1633 by English colonist looking for land. It had warm winters and had coastal plains. There was no main religion in the land and had a variety of religions.Like the rest of the southern colonies,the children's school, revolved around the farming season because they needed help on the farms a lot.The main industry was agriculture.
North Carolina is a northern colony and was founded in 1653 by Virginia colonist looking for land. the landscape had coastal plains and mountain ranges. The climate was the warmest in the south and North Carolina was in the south.There was no main religion in North Carolina and the main industry was agriculture. The children's school revolved around the farming season. The government was a royal colony
The people who would want to come would people who were in prison were allowed to start again and people who wanted to become rich.
The people who would want to come were people who wanted to make a profit off trade. They main people who would come wanted money. Also New Jersey offered land, and gave other promises.
