Italy is a country in Europe.
Italy is known for Mediterraneans lighthouse and famous italian explorers Christopher Columbus, Marco Polo, John Cabot.
Italy's climate has cool rainy winters and hot dry summers. Winter temperatures along the near the coasts of southern Italy seldom drop to freezing in winter, and summer temperatures often reach 32 degrees or higher.Italy, slightly larger than arizona is along peninsula shaped like a boat, surrounded on the west by the tyrrhenia sea and on the east by the adriatic.

Italy's resources tourism, machinery, iron, steel, chemicals, food processing, textiles, motor vehicles, clothing, and foot wear ceramics.
Natural resources coal, mercury, zinc, potash, marble, barite, asbetos, pumice, fluorspar , feldspar, pyrite sulfur, natural gas and crude oil reserves, fish, arable, land.
Italy's economic freedom score is 6.17, making its economy the 80Th freest in the 2015 index.
Rome is further north than new york city new york city is about the same latitude as Napels Italy.In Rome and napels it only snows briefly once several years, while in new york snow is very frequent in the winter.
