Can peacocks survive in the winter??
I dont personnaly think that peacocks can survive in the winter because they live in hot places and don't have a plethora of coverage to survive in the cold. In fact they can. They can survive in negative temperatures and snow but it is recommended to keep a lamp and a nice barn for them to go into.
Peacock is in the class of the Aves. Aves are feathered and winged birds. They eat snails, frogs, insects, grains and bulbs. Their size is up to 7 and a quarter ( 2 m) long. Their whole body is covered of feathers. Peacocks are born without any feathers covering them and are the national bird of India. The male peacocks use their feathers to attract the opposite sex. Baby peacocks are called peachicks. Peachicks hatch from eggs about 28 days from the start. Did you know that peacoks can fly??
Peacocks usually live in India or Sri Lanka. They live in tropical forests. Males have
150 feathers on their tales.Males are called Peacocks and females are called Peahens.
Wild, feral, and domestic felines and canines are the most common predators to peacocks and hens. Tigers and lions are also predators of the peacock.
Peacoks are not in a plethora of advertisements but are in some funny videos. In one of them , they are all sorts of colors, chocolates and they can be a ladies man . Can you guess who these chocolates are?? I do not think that these advertisements can endanger these species in any way.
Could you keep them as pets?
Peacocks could be kept as pets. The problem is that they would fly away. If I were to keep peacocks, I would have to build a cabana for my peacock and install a protective net around my backyard so they don't try to fly away. I would also put peahens (females) so they can reproduce and have some peachicks I would plant some trees so they can feel like they're actually living in India or Sri Lanka. Every end of a week , I would go buy some insects so they don't starve to death.
In the game Clue, there is a character called Polly Peacock, the school librarian. There is
also a furby that has all sorts of colors like a peacock and are a plethora of different items . I do not think that this can endanger this creature in any way. However, some people kill peacocks to use their feathers to make jewlery. If this continues, the peacock could become extinct. There is also a fish called the red peacock.
More interesting facts.Did you know...
There are two species of peacocks: Indian Peacock and Green Peacock.
They are one of the largest flying birds. Their length (including tail) can reach 5 feet. They can weigh between 8-13 pounds.
Can you find this creature in Quebec?? and other facts ...
Unfortunately, you can not find them in Quebec however, you can see them at a zoo. You can find this peacock in Asia : India and Sri Lanka. They eat : snails.insects, bulbs, frogs and grains.
Thank you for listening and I will now ask you some questions ..
- what are baby peacocks called ??
- what do they eat??
- what are the two species?
-where do they live??
- how long are their tales??
-what do the male do with their feathers???
THERE ARE LESS AND LESS PEACOCKS EVERY DAY !! I WOULD CREATE A LAW THAT SAYS THAT NOBODY IS ALOUD TO KILL PEACOCKS TO MAKE JEWLERY. I WOULD ALSO INSTALL A ELECTRICAL FENCE AROUND INDIA'S FORESTS AND SRI LANKA'S SO NOBODY WILL BREAK THE RULE AND PUT A BRICK WALL ON THE PEACOCK SIDE SO THEY DON'T GET ELECTRICUTED.
