Sony Corporation make. believe. Sony attempts to package their products efficiently while saving material to help distribution and the environment. Packaging Sony's Marketing Activities Research Sony has a Research & Development team that analyzes the sales and successes of previous products, and reacts accordingly to the results of this analysis. The PlayStation 2 was successful, so Sony created the PlayStation 3. Sony attracts a large amount of the electronics market with their wide range of products. Pricing Logo This logo is sometimes accompanied by the slogan 'make . believe' under it. Branding
The name of the company came from the Latin word 'Sonus' which means sound. It also comes from the English word 'sonny' which means a young boy.

The company slogan is 'make.believe' Sales Sony has many stores dedicated to selling only Sony products.

Physical Distribution Sony's parts for it's products are made in Southeast Asia and Taiwan.

These parts are transported to China by truck / train / ship and assembled.

The finish product is transported by air cargo to an area where consumers will buy it. Inventory Management Sony has many retail stores, warehouses, and offices around the world. It allows for more efficient transportation of inventory to places that need it most. Storage Sony has warehouses that store their products. These warehouses are located strategically to be able to transport products quickly to where they are needed. 'PlayStation' is Sony's widely known gaming console. 'VAIO' is Sony's brand of laptops. Products are also sold by electronic retailers such as Best Buy and Future Shop Customers can also buy products through the internet or by talking to a representative over the phone. Sony learned from this mistake to adjust prices for other products. Sony is #3 in the consumer TV market, so Sony aims to improve their TVs to get more of this market.
