In the 1960s, the only ¨terrorism¨ there was was bombings and an occasional shooting.
1960s
For example, in 1960 The Sunday Bomber set of a bomb in NYC

In 1963, JFK was shot

In 1968, Martin Luther King was shot
1970
In the 1970ś, bombing was still the main act of terrorism.
Examples:
The Sterling Hall Bombing
In Portland, Oregon where they tried to destroy a replica of the Liberty Bell
1980
In the 1980ś, there were generally more shootings and assassinations than any other form of terrorism

In example, Alan Berg and Alex Odeh
1990
In 1990, the terrorism became more severe, with bombings, shootings, murder, police attacks, etc. This era had advancements in terrorism

2000ś
The 2000ś were very intense for bombings such as 9-11, shootings in Washington, and even recently a vehicular attack
