21st CENTURY SKILLS
Use of technology is inevitable as today's generation of students, the Digital Natives, are born into this age of technology.
Technology should not be learnt in isolation, but in context with what it is going to be used for.
If Rip Van Winkle were to wake up today, he would be awestruck by the multimedia messages and the world around him.
But if he were to wake up in a classroom, the only thing that would have changed would be the colour of the blackboard!
Students and teachers should not be exited about the technology alone, but by the immense opportunities that the correct use of technology provides us.
The learning outcomes and the relevant pedagogical approach always comes first.
There is no standard solution for educators and learners. The same tool can be used differently by diff people, for diff purposes.
MY EDMODO CLASSROOM
Immense amount of information is available at the click of finger.
The focus has shifted from cramming and learning facts to the meaningful use of the information.
The stress now lies in building the so called '21st Century Skills' in the learners.
Critical thinking, problem solving, cooperation, communication, Citizenship, Cultural awareness, Innovation are a few of these skills
we need to develop in our students.

Preparing our students is not just about tools and technology.
It is about using these tools and technology creatively, in order to make the classroom as dynamic as the world around us.
How our students can learn and what they do with the technology tools is what is important.
