Find in-depth guide on using Zotero

Use login to renew your books/check your record
Enter details of books or topics

Check the class mark and location in the Library - you'll need this to find the book on the shelf
Check the loan status. You can recall books which are on loan.
Download word plug-in from Zotero website. It will appear in a plug-in tab in Word. Click on tab for Zotero functionality.
Use these icons to create Zotero citations and bibliographies. Click on the far left button to insert a citation in the text.
When you click on the icon to insert citation this search box will appear. Search for the citation you would like to include. Select from the list in your library and press return.
Click on the list icon to insert a bibliography based on your citations. Click on the cog wheel (Settings) to change the format of your citations e.g. Harvard, Chicago etc.
Click on the icon in the address bar to add a reference or group of references to your Zotero library
An information box will appear when a reference is being added to your Zotero library.
Click on "Z" in the tool bar to see your Zotero library
Your Zotero Library will appear in the lower part of the screen. From here you can view and organise your saved references and create new ones

If there is no direct link to a PDF click on Check full text to see if the article is available online

Interlibrary loans from the British Library are free for postgraduate students. Other loans cost £3.
