What is it called?
Mephedrone is a powerful stimulant similar to the category of amphetamines; such as speed and/or ecstasy.
It is fairly new, and is mainly found in the U.K. and India for consumption.
As a stimulant mephedrone increases heart rate, breathing, and adrenaline output.
On the street mephedrone when 'legal' was sold as plant food, and labeled "Not for human consumption"
Now that it is illegal it is sold primarily on the internet from places such as China, but can still be found on the streets.

It's been called other things when it was sold as plant food but now it is mainly referred to as one of the names on the list.
With Meow meow becoming a B class drug it could no longer be sold as plant food.
Instead it has been made more 'commercially' in China and it is now sold over the internet with a concoction of other ingredients along with the original drug.It can be bought from sites such as plantfeedshop.com
It has been shown to go for about 20 dollars a gram. It all depends on the dealer, shipping and handling, as well as the 'grade.'
Plant Feed Shop
A man only going by the name of Dr. Zee 'perfected' the chemical makeup of methadrone and brought about the 'renewal' in 2003 even though it had been discovered in the 1900s' most likely the 1920s'.
What is sold by China is not the same compound as his.

-Last month, a 19-year-old college student reportedly stabbed his mother before slicing off his own penis while high on a synthetic drug called mephedrone, better known to the kids as "Meow Meow." Police found the teenager with his penis, or what was left of it, dangling out a window, spraying blood everywhere.

This is a story from January of 2014, about a boy in London, England. The boy has reportedly had his penis reattached.
"My chest got tight, and my heart was beating really fast. But I wasn't ready for what happened next, the next weekend someone had more MCAT (mephedrone). Everyone took a bit, my friend started having nosebleeds, her face was dripping blood........ one of my friend's lips and hands turned blue. My other friend was in a bad way, had panic attacks. It got scary.

Quote from a 17 year old girl, Gemma in England.
Recent studies show only 50% of mephedrone is pure. Fear has spread that mephedrone will be 'krokodilized.'
As well as the lacing of other drugs such as heroin, cocaine, or poisons.

False rumors had been spread to steer people away from using mephedrone.
