Our bodies need salt to survive. When we consume salt it turns into electrolytes inside our bodies. Our bodies use electrolytes to make our muscles work. That is why athletes drink Gatorade when the sweat allot to replace the salt they lose. Otherwise our muscles stop working and we cramp up. So salt is very important to our body
What about to much salt?
Yes to much salt can also hurt you.
Salt retains water which mean inside your body the heart has to work harder.So doctors recommend that we cut down our salt intake.

salt is used for many things besides seasoning our food.

2.to make things like play dough

Fast food and processed food have the most salt in them.
1 piece of pizza and a sierra mist will have about 3,610 mg. of salt
restaurants use salt not only for flavor but to make us thirsty
so...how much did they recommend each day?

that's the whole day in just 1 meal!plus 210 mg. more then we need.
How do I cut back
1.don't add salt to your food,either cooking it or eating it.
2. try and cut back from fast food
3.try and cut back on processed food.
