The speech should be over a specific topic.
Informative speeches require a lot of research and knowledge about your topic.

The purpose is to influence and persuade your audience.
Speakers choose a subject that they are passionate about.
The speaker tries to convince an audience to accept his or her point of view.

The main purpose is to entertain the audience.
