My Journey through Michigan
Natural Resources
Materials or liquids such as forests, water, minerals and fertile land that appear in nature and can be used as a gain in economics.
Gold (found north of Ishpeming) is a natural resource.
Wind (found everywhere), solar (found everywhere), coal ( found in the LP) and oil (found in the LP and the Eastern part of the UP), these are examples of natural resources.
There are two types of natural resources, Renewable and nonrenewable
Regions
A region is a piece of land with many similar things
There are two main regions in Michigan
Upper peninsula aka. UP
Lower peninsula aka. LP
UP and LP are separated by the straits of Mackinac
Tourist Attractions
There are many tourist attractions here in Michigan!!!!
Michigan Adventure is a super fun tourist attraction and you can:
Have a splash in the Wild Water Adventure Water park
Ride roller coasters and thrill rides
Catch a family ride
Located in the LP

A historical sight
Formed from a ice age glacier from over years ago
Owned by West Bloomfield School District
There was a ceremony to grant us Apple Island in
Many people owed the island before us
Native Americans lived there
There are islands in the USA owned by a school district and Apple Island is one of them.
State Parks
A state park is piece land set aside by the state government.
Sleeping Bear Dunes is a cool state park
Located in the North West corner of the LP
Called the "Most beautiful place in America" on ABC's Good morning America
First people is the area were the Ottawa, Chippewa and the Pottowanama
Many animals live in the park
Pontiac Lake Recreation area is a state park near my house.

Erie has the shallowest and warmest water in all the Great Lakes
