Academic Information
ACADEMIC PROBATION
Students that don't get a passing grade in any subjects on a Trimester Report Card the students are placed in Academic Probation and lose their privilege of doing many school activities.


GRADE POINT AVERAGE
GPA are counted on a four point scale.Enrichment classes are counted as half with four point for both classes together.
HOMEWORK CALENDER
Assignments are adjusted during the week so you may need to check back in your homework calender.Use it to check you homework and when you are absent less then 3 days.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
All students have P.E two times a week and are the required to complete additional physical activity time outside of school if they want to improve their grades.Time and activities are logged and verified by a signature by parent or guardian on log each week.
PLANNER
The Pocs student planner is required for all students.It is used by students to record homework info and as a way of communication between teachers and parents.the planner is a great tool to open discussion on what is going at school and how you are doing.
GRADES
Acceptable work must earn C- or better or students may have to redo their work to meet minimum standards for learning purposes.
Homework
Each teacher will give info on what to expect as homework. In general, you can get 2+ hours of homework per night if it's done well,also 30 minutes of reading and continue work on a long-term project.

Homework is a essential part of an effective, well planned program.It serves a varitey of purposes
LATE WORK
Classwork and homework turned in late may not receive credit for grading purposes. Some major projects may be accepted late with the grade lowered. Teachers will explain their individual policies for late daily work and projects .
P.E CLOTHING
P.E clothing is being selected for students to to purchase and wear on their P.E days. students will be expected to wear P.E clothing and appropriate shoes on their assigned P.E days. Until the clothing is available.
END OF THE YEAR ACTIVITIES
Students who receive 2 F's on their report card in the same core subject ,will not be promoted nor participate in the end of the year activities such as trips,parties,dances,play days,graduation ceremonies,etc.
REPORT CARDS AND PROGRESS REPORTS
Pocs is on a trimester system. A Progress Report or Report card is issued approximately every six week. Progress Reports are issued in the middle of the trimester and report card is issued at the end of the Trimester.
STUDENT CONFERENCES
Student lead there conferences in the fall.Students prepare for and present info on their performance, progress, and goals. Core teachers guide the student's presentation and will join in the parent student conference.
TRADITIONAL PARENT CONFERENCE
Parent conferences may be led in addition following the Student-Led Conference by contacting teachers on their voicemail. Anytime parents need to speak with one of your teachers about your progress or concerns, they can leave a message on their voicemail and they will call you parents back for a telephone conference or to arrange one at school.
TEXTBOOKS
Textbooks are a property of the school and must be taken care of students.
1. All students are issued book to keep at home and assigned books to use in the classrooms. The condition is noted for those kept at home and used in the classroom.There will be charges for any damage or loss.
2. No textbook should be kept in backpack
3. Covers are required on all books for home or school use
4. No stretchy bookcovers

*WEEKLY PROGRESS REPORTS*
The planner can be used as weekly progress report for those students who need it. This can be arranged with our teachers
