China's New Leader Xi Jinping On November 15, 2012, Xi Jinping officially took the position of general secretary of the Communist Party in China.
Mr. Xi and the Politburo Standing Committee, a group of 7 people that runs China, appeared on stage on Thursday in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Mr. Xi made a speech, mainly focusing on corruption, bettering citizen's lives, the responsibilities of the party. China Why should you care? With a new leader of China, the way things are run will be different. Xi Jinping will also take the position of Central Military Commission. His decisions will affect the relationships between the military aspects of many nations. Xi Jinping plans to have the party to have more discipline and less corruption. He also wants to maintain and improve China's close ties to other nations. China's new leader may carry out actions that affect the way the United States are working in daily life. THE END
