FRENCH TOAST HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT HISTORY BUT FIRST A LITTLE Did NOT originate in France Traced back to Romans found a way to make bread taste better and last longer France it's called "pain purdue" = "lost bread" refers to the traditional use of stale bread in this dish AROUND THE WORLD America and Canada it is eaten at breakfast Germany calls it "armer nitter"= "poor knight" Portugal it is eaten during Christmas rabandas= "golden slices of bread" Britain eats it with tomatoes and cheese instead of syrup NOW LETS A LOOK INGREDIENTS 1 cup milk
1/4 cup all purpose flour 1 pinch of salt
3 eggs 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
12 thick slices of bread PREP TIME: 10 Minutes
Whipped Cream
Peanut Butter
Cheese Jelly
White Sugar
Raisin Cinnamon Bread DIRECTIONS NOW FOR THE.... Start with flour measured out in a big bowl and the milk, salt, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract mixed smoothly into another bowl Whisk in the liquid into the flour Heat your frying pan over the stove Soak your bread slices into the mixture until saturated, then place them on the pan Cook one side until golden brown and then flip like this Once both sides are golden brown take off pan and enjoy! OTHER VARIATIONS Stuffed French Toast 2 slices of French Toast filling finished in an oven Montecristo "Mountain of Christ" Ham/Turkey and Cheese sandwich dipped in bread and fried NOW TRY FOR YOURSELF
