Charity
Our organization will provide seeds and animals along with agricultural training. We hope that this will help to decrease the poverty level by providing food and income to families.
Welcome to Kroo Bay, Freetown, Sierra Leone. Kroo bay is a sprawling slum, that lacks basic necessities and most people live in poverty, unable to provide for their family. Imagine going to bed each and every night, feeling empty, not only because you haven't eaten in days but also because you face the harsh reality that this might be your last night.
Bean seeds
The animals that we choose to give were goats, and the seeds we chose were bean seeds.
Benefits of Animals and Seeds
We will send a representative to provide agricultural training, and will connect with a local farmer to provide Kroo Bay with animals.
Food prices in Kroo Bay are more than what most people can afford. What used to be able to buy six cups of rice can only buy two. These high prices make it hard for families to eat, and children starve.
We aim to provide children with good food.
Once children have proper nutrition they have resistance to infections. They will be able to curb vitamin deficiencies, by stimulating their immune systems.
Goats, and chickens will provide milk, and eggs, which will help to keep the people much healthier.
What the families don't need for themselves can be sold at the local market.
This will generate income.
The money can be used to give the children a good education.
A good education can bring not only a family out of poverty but a whole village.
In order for children to properly grow they require nutritious food. Most children affected by poverty suffer from malnutrition and are rapidly losing weight.
Everyday, children in Kroo Bay are forced to rummage through garbage in order to salvage items thrown away by fortunate citizens in Kroo Bay. By doing this they are at risk of fatal diseases.
Poverty in Kroo Bay has taken away the children's childhood. Most kids spend their time collecting water, dealing with financial matters and ,gathering metal scraps to ensure shelter all while dealing with their rumbling stomach. Some kids spend their day begging in hopes of providing a meal to their hopeless family. We must help these poor innocent children.

Inform others about our organization and educate others on the children of Kroo Bay. We cant do this alone we will need your support
The greatest difficulty in our project would be keeping track of the money once we send it to Sierra Leone.
We will start a campaign to raise money, and awareness for people in Kroo Bay, Sierra Leone.

To kick off our campaign we will make announcements, and will talk to each class individually about what we are planning.
All of the classes will receive jars to fill up with toonies. We will continue to educate about our plan.
By now the classes will be well educated about our plan, and are well aware of their expectations. Classes will begin bringing in their toonies.
Classes are now full into the campaign. Competition runs high, and filled jars are beginning to be collected.
All of the jars have been collected, and money is counted. The winner is announced.
The winning class is given their pizza party, and all the raised money is send to Kroo Bay, Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Announcements will be made daily to promote the cause. Each week will be targeted at a certain division. (Kindergarten, Primary, Junior, Intermediate, Staff) Age appropriate announcements will help to bring out the best from everyone.
If we reach our goal we will have a dance party in our gym!

THE CHANGE WE WILL CREATE IN KROO BAY: Key Ideas
We will give hope to the struggling village of Kroo Bay.
Children will have the chance to go to school, therefore ensuring a successful future. Education will pave the path to a thriving community.
The seeds and agricultural training will provide food for the community.
Goats and chickens will provide income to families and a dependable food source
God put us on this earth to do good will. Together we can change the lives of many in Kroo Bay.
Our Organization is a charitable organization. It is non-profit which means that none of the money received will go to waste, or into our pockets.
How We Will Make This Work
Located simply 2.4 kilometers from Kroo Bay is UNICEF Freetown. We will send all collected money through this organization, and we will keep track of where the money is at all times.
With the help of parents, and staff members we will negotiate a reasonable price with a local farmer to make sure that we get our money's worth. We will then find a local transportation company to transport the animals, and seeds to the people of Kroo Bay.
After the seeds, and animals are delivered we will monitor the families that receive the goods to see their progress later in the year.
Students of St. Josephine Bakhita will be informed of the progress of different families throughout the rest of the year.
What we Hope to Acheive in a Year
We know however that with perseverance anything is possible, and that we will overcome challenges.
We guarantee that our organization is 100% trust worthy
The Big Idea
Two Girls with a dream...
One Town In Need...
A School With Hope...
Many Hearts...
Lets make hunger a thing of the past!
Children In Kroo Bay are waiting right now for someone to open their hearts, and reach out to them.
We are so lucky to be living in Canada. We never need to worry about if we will go hungry the next day. What if we were born in Sierra Leone?
It is our duty being so fortunate to help others in need. As Mother Teresa once said:
With continued support we will over come any obstacles because...
The People of Kroo Bay Need Us!
This information can be used to paint clearer images of what we accomplished, and to inspire greater change.
Remember
What goes around...
comes around!
The Bible tells us in the golden rule that we should do unto others as we would want them to do to us.
In Conclusion:
