Lemony Snicket: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Authors Purpose
By: Alicia Street and Morgan Brooks In Lemony Snickets books there are many underlying messages. These messages help create the stories that he writes about the Baudelaire orphans after their parents death. In a series of unfortuante events throughtout each book Lemony Snicket adds very dry humor along with an explanation (in the context of the book) of the unusual words he uses. We think that the authors purpose is to entertain the reader but also make them wonder what is coming next once they finish a chapter. Although he states that his purpose for writing the books was to tell the story of the three Baudelaire children. All of Lemony Snickets books have an underlying theme. The three B
