Early Life
Rod Serling was born on December 25, 1924 in Syracuse, New York.
Serling grew up in a small town of Binghamton.
He was a son of a butcher so he joined the army after graduating from high school in 1942.
He saw the horrors of World War II so wet to college.
After graduating it he decided that he qualified more for creative things.
Schooling and Adulthood
Airing the Show
The show was a mythological and science fiction show
It played on CBS and UPN( United Paramount Network)
The 1st episode aired on October 2nd, 1959 at midnight
The last episode aired on June 12, 1964 at midnight
The episodes played everyday after 10:00 PM and continued to play every now and then until 4:00 AM
New episodes came on at midnight every Thursday
They now playy on all days on the channel Sy-Fy From 12:00 AM and 5:00
Rod Serling
He went to Antioch college.
While in college he changed his major to English and drama.
During senior year he married Carolyn Kramer
The Theme Song
After marrying his wife he won an a award for a script he wrote.
As an a encouragement he started writing scripts for radios and and wrote scripts for the television.
Later on he found a unique style of writing called drama.
He was working a lot so he moved closer to his family in Manhattan.
Later he wrote a dramatic script called

Then one more came out called

For a Heavy Weight.
In 1959 Serling turned to fantasy and science fiction and wrote
the Twilight Zone
and won three Emmy awards.
Later, Serling found a job teaching .

Cast and Creators
The creators of The Twilight Zone were: Rod Serling, Alfred Hitchcock, Lucille Fletcher, I Sing the Body Electric, Sam Rolfe, and Bernard Schoefield.
The Cast was: Rod Serling as Narrator, Gladys Cooper, Virginia Gregg, John McGiver, Morgan Brittany, Vaughn Taylor, Gail Kobe, Lee Phillips, Don Keefer, and Robert McCord.
Rod Serling died in in June 1975 and died of a heart attack.
