Using the PEEL approach How to develop your argument Sample Question “Social networking sites have improved our lives.” Do you agree? Point Social networking sites have improved our lives by creating common platforms for like-minded people to come together to interact.
Elaboration In the past, it would have been difficult to make friends with people out of our immediate social circle due to geographical barriers. With social media, we can now connect with people who have similar interests no matter where they live.
Example For example, a person can simply search a Twitter hashtag and find others who have tweeted about a certain topic. On Facebook, members can “like” pages and join a community where they can communicate with like-minded people even if they do not live in the same country.
Link Thus, it can be seen that social networking sites have made our lives better by removing the geographical barrier, bringing people with similar interests together.
