Transcript of Michael Jackson
His first solo hit single I believe what helped make Michael so famous was how he was a musician, dancer, and entertainer at a very young age (4 or 5). He was pre-known world-wide, and he was already a lead singer of a group. Most fans were just waiting for the day to come where he came out with his very own songs. I'm positive that Michael Jackson's made a impact on many many lives. He wasn't just a ordinary pop singer, he inspired dance moves, started fashion trends and raised awareness for social causes around the globe through his music. I believe these are the reasons he had such an admirable life as well, through the many talents he had. Some people would consider Michael a hero, and others would just consider him a very talented man. The people who remember him as a hero, remember him of that because he was the first black-musician to premier on MTV, he had so many #1 songs, he inspired people through lyrics and he tried to make the world a better place. People have learned a lot from michael jacksons music, and his life itself. I've read lots of posts about things they've learned like "your vision in life, will pull vision out of others, have a bigger purpose for what you do in life, capture the key moments of your life and learn from them, or even to never give up". "I'm happy to be alive, I'm happy to be who I am." The reason Michael changed skin colors in the later years of his life was a result of a skin disease called vitiligo (vit-ill-EYE-go). Vitiligo is a disorder that makes cells in your skin destroyed, and as a result white milky patches form on skin. He wanted to even out the color of his skin, so he eventually got physical treatment and does not refer this as bleaching his skin, however this is how he became white. Michael Jackson's "Thriller" Album is the biggest selling album of all time, with over 50 million copies sold worldwide. Thriller is also the biggest selling U.S album with sales of 25 million copies. 2000; Best Selling Pop Male Artist of the Millennium “Before you judge me , try hard to love me , look within your heart, Then ask - have you seen my childhood ?” “You can't hurt me, I found peace within myself.” I think that these quotes are referring to when all the rumors were going around about him, and when he was more in the struggling part of his fame. Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29 1958, in Gary, Indiana, USA. He had grown up in a abusive home and it seemed out of the whole family he had been most affected by it. His childhood was an emotionally difficult time for him. He began performing when he was around five years old, and his father pushed him and his brothers to be the best performers they could be. When he was young, the thing he wanted most was to be a typical little boy. He wanted to build tree houses, have water balloon fights, play hide-n-seek, or even just hangout with all his friends. But fate had it otherwise, says Jackson. In 1994 Michael married Lisa Presley, (daughter of Elvis Presley) and in August 1996 they divorced. In November 1996 Jackson announced he was going to be a father and the mother was Debbie Rowe, a long-time friend of his. They married later that month in Sydney, Australia. On February 13, 1997, they had a son, (Prince Michael Jackson Jr) and in 1998 a daughter (Paris Michael Katherine Jackson). Debbie later filed for divorce from Jackson in October 1999. There were suspicions that he had an overdose, which caused an cardiac arrest. We will never really truly know what happened. But on August 28, the Los Angeles County Coroner ruled Jackson's death a homicide.
