Concerned with organisational structure and design, hierarchical authority and the division of labour.
Standardisation of manufacturing
Simplifying processes into their component parts
Creating a specialised workforce of skilled task-persons

Politics: the exercise of power in the service of interests.

A political system is concerned with how interests are articulated and
how power and influenced are employed to serve interests.
legitimate domination: commands internalised by workers, becoming a habit they do almost by self-motivation.

Use of power is a set of concrete activities
Examining the structures and processes organisations work within
how these allow misconduct, providing normative support and means for violating others rights
Model does not take into account the power of civil society.
Understands dominance as following an economic rationality
Organisations do what they will to make profit
Difficult decisions made, with profit in mind
Dominance by default?
Part of a greater ill-intentioned design?
The first option can have positive consequences, as it opens discussion on how to mitigate this domination.
However, this also means implicitly accepting this model, which can lead to neglect of those suffering from organisational dominance
