Yes, the caterpillar!!!
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
by Eric Carle

What do you know about caterpillars?
Have you ever read this book or had it read to you?

.
Listen carefully as the story is read. Think about the sequence: what is happening in the beginning, middle and end of the story.
What is this?
That's right, a caterpillar!
Where do they
live?
What they
look like?
What they
eat?
How they
feel?

Share the things you already know
about caterpillars with the class.
Today, we are first going to listen to a reading of this book. As you listen, I want you to think about the sequence of events in the story. Say:
What is a sequence?
Many things we do have a beginning, middle and end. We call that a sequence.
It means the order in which events follow each other.

Here is an example of my day. First I wake up and get ready for work, then I go to school and teach all day, last I go home and eat dinner with my family.

What is sequence? Beginning - Middle - End
