Wei Cun S10114203C Uses of Embryonic Stem Cells 1) State briefly how embryonic stem cells can be isolated for use. - These stem cells can be used to grow into different kinds of human tissues, such as muscle,bone and brain tissues. As embryonic stem cells are able to multiply itself, therefore, it can self-replenish itself and scientist hope that it can actually being used to sure patients that suffer from diseases or injuries. 2) What are the present uses of embryonic stem cells? State at least 3 different uses -Yield information that occur during human development.

-Test new drugs

-Cell-based therapies 3) What are the constraints of using embryonic stem cells? -Difficult to control

-Risk of immunogenic reaction

-Trigger cancer or tumor formation 4) Give at least 2 moral and ethical concerns regarding the use of embryonic stem cells. -Destroy human life
