What Is Medal of Honor?
The Medal of Honor is the United States of America's highest military honor, awarded for personal acts of valor above and beyond the call of duty. The Medal of Honor has a version of army, navy, and air force, but it started as 'Medal of Valor' for the navy.
Thomas Baker
He fought in the army during WWII, born in NY and died at Saipan aged 28. He served in the US Army for 4 years and have joined the army after graduation of high school. He recived the Medal of Honor for his actions, for which he was found dead with an empty pistol and the bodies of eight Japanese soldiers around him.
Gordon Roberts
He fought in the Vietnam War in the army,
born in Ohio and is still alive. He was arwarded the Medal of Honor for his action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty - he wiped out three machine gun nest by himself and saved at least 20 soldiers.
Tibor Robin
He fought in the army as a corporal during the Korean War, born in Hungary. He was rewarded the Medal of Honor for his valorous actions during the war, and have served in the US Army for three years.
Thomas Baker and John Finn both fought in the WWII although in different places. Baker, Rubin, and Roberts are all in the army. Rubin and Roberts both fought by themselves in some point of the time - Rubin defended a hill for 24 hours all by himself and Roberts wiped out the machine gun nests by himself. The biggest smiliarity among them all is that they were all sacrificing their lives.
John Finn
He was a salior in the US Navy who fought in the WWII in the Pearl Habor, born in California. He earned the medal by firing on planes from an exposed position although reapeatedly wounded. He is also the last live recipent from the attack of Pear Harbor and the oldest living Medal of Honor recipent, but sadly he died in 2010.
Tibor Rubin was born outside the US unlike the others although he fought like the rest. They all made it back except for Thomas Baker, sadly. And lastly, they all fought in different places.
