Attendance Statistics
Research Identifies Poor attendance as a dropout indicator.
0-4 days out - 87% chance of graduating
5-9 days out - 63% chance of graduating
10-14 days out - 41% chance of graduating
15-19 days out - 21% chance of graduating
20-25 days out - 9 % chance of graduating
25-29% days out - 5% chance of graduating
30-34 days out - 2% chance of graduating
35-40 days out -1% chance of graduating

Alabama Attendance
Every child between the ages of 7-17 shall be required to attend school.
Absences

After the 3rd unexcused absence, your child is referred to the truancy officer.
Upon the 5th unexcused absence during the school year, a truancy referral can be made to the Early Warning Program.

Tardies
Students must have an excuse for late check in & early check out. It serves as an absence for that period.

24 Credits are required for graduation.
Two types of Diploma Options: Advanced & Standard
9th grade counts and is present on high school transcripts.
