Augustus and Isaac are very close friends, they were friends before the Support Group and before Augustus and Hazel met. Isaac and Augustus enjoy playing video games together and Augustus joined the Support Group to help Isaac under the stress of going blind.
Hazel Grace Lancaster:
Isaac enjoys Hazel's company and they befriended each other very early in the book. In the Support Group, before becoming good friends, Hazel Grace says she and Isaac communicated through small sighs. Although they may not have been friends for a long time, it's seen that he and Hazel are very good friends and have bonded over time. Neither of them have shown romantic feelings towards each other.
Issac and Monica were said to have a very close relationship and were together for fourteen months. Monica later dumped him when she learned that Issac would become blind. She was only written about in a few scenes but was mentioned quite a few times by Isaac.
Isaac is is trying to look on the bright side of things even though he's going to be blind soon. He Know's there's nothing he can do about it.
In The Fault in Our Stars, Isaac is described as being a long-faced, skinny guy with long blonde hair swept over one eye, and having rather large, thick glasses. This is all that is said about his physical appearance. Further into the book, he is said to become blind due to surgery he had underwent to remove the last of the cancer in his eyes.
Isaac is super ticked off about how his girlfriend dumped him because he was going blind. He believes in true love and Monica shattered his heart into a million pieces.
Isaac was rageing out in anger because his girlfriend dumped him. Sometimes we all need to blow off some steam by smashing random objects.

Isaac is one of the main characters of The Fault in Our Stars. He and Augustus are good friends, through him Augustus befriends Hazel. He was previously in a relationship with Monica, until she broke up with him upon hearing he would go blind. Isaac is known to like video games and has a wide sense of humor.
"I'm Isaac. I'm seventeen. And it's looking like I have to get surgery in a couple weeks, after which I'll be blind. Not to complain or any thing because I know a lot of us have it worse, but yeah, I mean, being blind does sort of suck. My girlfriend helps, though. And freinds like Augustus.
