Transcript of Effects of a Younger/Older Student Program

The Prompt
Some schools have a program that pairs older students with younger students. The older students are available to assist the younger students.
How would this program help both the older and the younger students? Explain the effects of such a program on the students involved.

(Informative Essay)
Body Paragraph 2
Body Paragraph 3
The final reason I believe this is system is worthwhile is it is an all around good experience for all parties involved.
Both the younger and the older students learn how to communicate with others
They also both learn how to teach and learn from others, which will help them in the future
The system therefore prepares them for what is to come as they grow up even further
My Introduction Strategy
I plan to introduce my essay by connecting to the reader. For example, I will help them relate to how they have communicated and learned from others. I will go on to explain that this important life skill can be learned at an early age with the use of older student/younger student pairing programs. This is a smooth transition to the information and effects of these programs.
My Thesis Statement
I believe pairing older students and younger students together is a good idea because it benefits the younger kids, teaches responsibility to the older kids, and is a good experience for everyone involved.
My Introduction
Body Paragraph 1
This program would be positive because the younger students would learn a lot of experience from their older partners.
The older students can give them advice and prepare them for the future
The young students will learn social skills, as well as make a new older friend
It might be easier for a student to learn from one of his/her peers rather than an adult or teacher.
Effects of a Younger/Older Student Program
Another reason I support this is system is it teaches the older students as well.
Older students will experience social skills as well as their younger classmates
The upper grade kids will learn about interacting and teaching their younger peers
It will teach and spread responsibility them
In your daily life, I'm sure you have to communicate with others quite a bit. This is an essential skill in society, and is very often taught at a young age to growing students. I believe the best way for these students to learn is to put them together to learn and interact. A program aimed at pairing younger and older students together is a fun way for kids to learn basic social skills and also learn in a more fun and interesting way. I believe pairing older students and younger students together is a good idea because it benefits the younger kids, teaches responsibility to the older kids, and is a good experience for everyone involved.
